64-bit Microsoft® Windows® 10. The CineCast setup program requires Administrator rights (privileges) to install CineCast on your computer.
6th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor or better (or AMD equivalent); 2.5GHz or faster - for large projects and/or 4K work, 3GHz+ or faster CPU. (Note: Processor must support SSE2 instruction set)
4 GB minimum. For large projects and/or 4K work, 16 GB is recommended. CineCast always renders at "export quality", even during editing; therefore faster processors and greater available RAM can result in a more responsive user experience.
CineCast supports graphics as part of the credits layout. CineCast can import uncompressed (or Packbits-compressed) sRGB TIFF graphics files with bit depths of 8 or 16 bits, in color or monochrome, with or without an alpha channel.
CineCast supports full screen preview on your computer display at the actual resolution, frame rate and scroll rate of the intended export, up to UHD (CineCast Studio) or HD (CineCast Indie), subject to the capability of CPU / GPU / Display.
CineCast exports a credits roll as a folder containing an sRGB TIFF image file sequence.
(a) Frame size: SD to 4K (CineCast Studio); 720p, 1080p (CineCast Indie)
(b) Frame rate:
CineCast Studio: Progressive: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 47.952, 48, 50, 59.94 and 60Hz, Interlaced: 50 and 59.94Hz
CineCast Indie: Progressive: 23.976, 50, 59.94
(c) Alpha channel for text and graphics. Optional black outline for text to increase contrast when compositing credits roll over an image or video background (CineCast Studio only).
Note. Alpha channel support for graphics requires that the source graphics image contain an alpha channel.
(d) Export bit depth: 8 or 16 bits per channel, sRGB (CineCast Studio); 8 bits per channel, sRGB (CineCast Indie)
(e) Optional Motion blur (defined as shutter blade angle): 0 (ie. none), 45, 90 or 180 degrees (CineCast Studio only)
Important Note: To make use of CineCast's export, the video editing software must be capable of importing standards-compliant TIFF image file sequences.
